After you’ve had the day to explore Philly, join Marisa + Matthew for beer, wine, and dessert at the Moshulu, a historic boat permanently docked on the Delaware River. The dress code is casual cocktail, and Hawaiian shirts and tropical prints are encouraged.
If you’re looking for things to do and places to eat before the Welcome Party, check out the “Out of Towners” section.

The Big Day!
Today is the day! The ceremony will begin at 5:30 pm, followed by a cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing (plus hot dogs if you stay late enough).
Dress to impress, but also dress to party.
The dress code this evening is “funky formal”. We encourage bright colors, sequins, and fun textures. If there’s an outfit you’ve been itching to wear, now is the time to wear it! Black suits, colorful suits, long dresses, and mid-length dresses are all welcome. Please avoid wearing white.

We recommend flying into Philadelphia International Airport. It’s a 10-20 minute taxi or Uber ride to Old City, the neighborhood where we recommend you stay.
Newark Airport often has very budget-friendly flights, and you can take a train from the airport, right to 30th Street Station in Philly. It’s an hour train ride, but it goes by quickly!

As we have already built a life together, we kindly request no gifts. Should you wish to celebrate with a gift, we would be honored by a donation to our honeymoon fund, which will help us create unforgettable memories.
Alternatively, please consider making a donation to Friends of Moyer Street Park. FoMSP is a nonprofit that is building a park in our neighborhood, hopefully breaking ground in late 2025. Adding green space to the neighborhood is an initiative that is near and dear to our hearts, as Marisa is a board member and Matthew is an active volunteer at FoMSP.
